Programme Overview This is the first degree in Ireland that recognises and brings together both counselling skills and addiction studies to develop professional practitioners who can work in this growing area. It is delivered by the National Counselling Institute of Ireland. This programme will work with participants to develop key skills when working with those affected by all forms of addiction and their environments. Year 1 Induction Developmental Perspectives in Counselling Counselling Skills and Practices Theoretical Approaches to Counselling Personal Developmental Perspectives within Counselling Occupational Assessment

Award This degree is accredited by the Higher Education and Training Awards Council of Ireland and is placed at level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications. It is recognised by both the statutory, community and business sectors.
Entry Requirements There are no specific academic requirements with applicants considered based on relevant work and other experience. There is no minimum age for this part-time programme.
